| | So Collin and Zack sorta convinced me to get a blog. Plus I think that I'll run more/better/longer if I have to write about it #newyearsresolutions Anyway, I ran just over 3 miles. It was pretty hard considering I haven't ran in forever. And my splits were like 10 min. But I did 5 min of abs afterwards so go me. To be honest, I'm just glad I actually braced the cold instead of chickening out and hitting the treadmill. Happy New Year!

| | Actually got on running clothes and walked upstairs almost out the door when my mom and I got into a big dicussion on the gospel which was way good but then I was late to work and didn't run so that's lame. I did go to Hot Pilates though and guys if your hamstring is ever way tight this is the way to fix that lemme tell ya.
P.S. Hot Pilates is pretty much like normal Pilates in Hawaii. I was barely fazed by the heat lol.

| | TRX my friends. It's my new fav hobby. My abs are coming along nicely. Also apparently I have really good strong shoulders but sucky core strength. And bad glutes. Which makes me a bad runner. According to very fit and fast teacher. You learn something new every day. But. My butt hurts so freaking bad. I'm really trying to stregthen other aspects of my body as a take a bit of a time out from running. I'll resume once I get to China and train for the marathon but right now my body needs some balance and some cross training and some strength training. It's seriously been so good for me. Emotionally too. I was starting to hate running until I took a break and now I miss it so much which is really what I needed.

| | Here's the thing. I promise I run. I promise I exercise. Honestly, if this wasn't fast running blog and was instead called all the yoga and cross training blog I would literally be killing it. But it's cold outside and I'm alone so I run less these days and always forget to write about it. So if anyone wants to be my running buddy hmu.

| | So I ran 3 miles. Go me. And I think the air quality is just really bad because that was like the longest three miles of my life. Ahaha. Remember that one time I drove to Colorado and didn't run for a week because the ice was 4 years deep on the road. And so many stray dogs. So then remember when I got home and ran this morning and almost died and almost lost my dog? Good times. Running has never been such a struggle before in my whole life. What's that about? But I got the Clifton's and I love them, so that was a fun new motivator. But seriously. Rip me and my physical well being.

| | Ran a mile on the Legacy Center track with Caela. Actually felt really good. I think the air outside is what's killing me because that mile was the best mile of my life lemme tell ya. But it was in my Pegs which are like hecka old and have so many miles and now my achilles .2 hurts. But it's fine. Then did the hot pilates which rules. Starting to feel kind of sick.

| | Pretty good swim workout today. But I started doing breaststrock and my calf like freaked out. But I had to finish the set ya know bc winners never quit and quitters never win and Caela was gonna judge me so I did and now I can't walk on my calf without pain. Rip me. Who knew I'd get hurt swimming hecka slow. Feels like I strained something but hopefully it's fine. Also hung out with Bill at the BYU today so that was a real party. She's the best.

| | Ran two miles in the good ol Bandits. And I think the indoor track at the Legacy Center is gonna have to be a regular thing because every time I run there it feels so great. Ran a nice warm up mile with Caela and then did 8 200s. Short workout but I'm getting back in ya know. Kept the 200s all under 50 sec which old me would have been upset about but now me is proud of. Then I lifted a little. Played some good ol basketball for a while and then as Caela and I were walking out and the pool was closed so we spontaneously decided to jump in. The whole time I'm doing all other sorts of exercise I feel great no problems. And then as soon as I get in the pool my calf hurts like crazy. So that's a problem. But it was so refreshing I can't even tell ya, it felt great. So we swam around for a bit and then I rolled in some snow all wet as a dare and then Caela rolled out my calf. It was pretty much a 10/10 night.

| | Lol @ me. I've slacked off so hard this week. I ate bad (curse those conversation hearts) and didn't run. Today I did the TRX and saw Matt Jones and he was like "do you still run?" and I really wanted to honestly say yes. Which means I should get serious about running the Great Wall Marathon. Which means I should probably train for it. Wish me luck.

| | 2.15 miles on the Utahrun treamill. S/o to that treamill for being there for me when it's hecka cold outside. Even though its way too complicated to figure out the technology on that thing. Did 10 min of abs which was fun and I may go to yoga tonight I'm not quite sure.
